The pain of this song goes both ways for me - I’ve been the sung to [many a time] and the one singing; although being on the singing end it wasn’t about me having done wrong, it was about having a broken heart and trying to glue it back with nostalgia. Nonetheless, it still hurts to think about what could have been done to have preserved what shoulda/coulda/woulda been and wonder which girl is getting to experience what shoulda/coulda/woulda been yours.
