Kesi: ...ill be honest with you after watching the video i was like wtf is this video about...wayy to shocking to be bout red heads..then i was like maybe its bout the Irish..but i was like nah seems to be broaching a much broader subject matter..At the end of the day i do think the video was way to extreme for its intended message which is basically profiling based on a certain look or nationality ( see abdul mutalab)
MCCXXI: I didn't start to get it until after they were all on the bus. I didn't care to see the couple smashing... *shudder*... But on a serious note, I think it was genius. I predict that a lot of people [read: Caucasian individuals] will get up in arms about this injustice, portrayed so graphically in a distasteful and aggravated manner, but what people don't realize is this is what's happening in the middle East [I imagine and assume; I do not know first hand], and this is what happens on a lesser scale to many minorities i.e. ANYONE who cannot identify with the majority.
That video was some REAL sh*t.
Kesi: EXTREMELY real...but would the point have been more obvious if it was middle eastern soldiers?

Do you think that your role reversal may have been seen as a deliberately spiteful tactic; one that would have been misconstrued as an encouragement of, say Mosaic Law; one that that could be misinterpreted as an enacted scene of retribution or a code for an uprising?
Do you think that it would have hit home as much if it was just seen as a 'tit-for-tat' sort of video?
Kesi: yeah i agree with that...it put a lot more focus on the acts as opposed to who was committing them. Middle eastern soldiers would have taken away from the acts and put too much emphasis on who was committing them...ps..u think they really put this much thought into it?
MCCXXI: I believe so. M.I.A. isn't just a singer, songwriter, and producer (amongst other things); she's a political activist as well. Takes after her father.
